PURCHASE AND Renovate

The chance to buy and renovate a new ministry property at 2000 Claflin Road came quickly! We believe this is a God-ordained opportunity, and we anticipate person after person encountering Him - and finding true community - in this place for many years to come.

We closed on the property last May, and spent the summer opening up a big room for large group meals, classes, campus meetings, and other activities. Moving forward, we plan to do more updates and renovations to help make this an amazing environment for indoor and outdoor activities alike. We are prepping rooms for people to live in, and most of the remaining space (including a new kitchen!) this year.

Goals

Our down payment and closing costs were $80,000. Those funds have already been given!

Because people are volunteering many hours, we are doing this work for less than what it would cost otherwise. But we will still need more funding than we currently have to make this possible.

FAITH GOAL 1 (by May 28, 2021): $50,000 (reached!)

FAITH GOAL 2 (by August 1, 2021): $75,000 (reached!)

FAITH GOAL 3 (by Summer 2022): $100,000 (reached 7/18/22!)

We ran into more issues and costs than expected with our 140-year old house, to the tune of $20,000. Thankfully, Bluemont has been able to pay for most of these from our general operating funds. But if you would like to give to this extra need, that would be a help!

We would also like to pay off our $285,000 mortgage as quickly as possible.
