PURCHASE & RENOVATION

The unexpected chance to buy and renovate a new ministry property at 2000 Claflin Road in Manhattan, Kansas came quickly! We believe this is a God-ordained opportunity, and we are already seeing person after person encounter Him - and find true community - here.

We closed on the property last May, and spent the summer beginning to make updates and renovations to help make this an amazing environment for indoor and outdoor activities alike. The first step was opening up and completely remodeling a big room for large group meals, classes, campus meetings, and other activities. This summer we are renovating the rest of the house!

GOALS

Our down payment and closing costs were $80,000. (Paid!)

With a lot of volunteer hours (stay tuned for “work day” details!), we are completing this work for less than what it would cost otherwise. But we will still need more funding than we currently have to make this project possible.

Faith Goal 1 (by May 28, 2021): $50,000 (This goal was met!)

Faith Goal 2 (by December 31, 2021): $75,000 (Goal met!)

Faith Goal 3 (by Summer 2022): $100,000 (Goal met 7/18/22!)

We ran into more issues and costs than expected with our 140-year old house, to the tune of $20,000. Thankfully, Bluemont has been able to pay for most of these from our general operating funds. But if you would like to give to this extra need, that would be a help!
